Cleveland Orchestra’s Home - Severance Hall

It could be due to the fact that Cleveland is home to some of the world’s most renowned colleges and universities in the country, there is a bustling and growing art scene here that visitors can visit with their charter buses during vacations. Within its 82.47 square miles of land, tourists are continually organizing large group events and using some of these art venues for activities, exhibitions, weddings, group gatherings, corporate functions and other similar events.

Ever since Severance Hall opened up its doors to audiences, it has been home to Cleveland Orchestra. Located in a quaint University Circle neighborhood slightly off the main downtown area, it enjoys support from loyal fans and people from other parts of the city alike. The hall was launched in February 1931 and is going strong with shows and concerts. Needless to say, because of its striking design, its name is included into the National Register of Historic Places.

The Islands of Lake Erie in Ohio

Ever thought that there would be islands on a lake? Most people would think that only islands at the sea can be visited, but for something a little different, why not visit the islands at Lake Erie in Ohio? These islands are a group of archipelagic islands on Lake Erie, and the most popular ones that bus rental visitors tend to visit are Kelleys Island, and the Bass Islands. Most of these islands are accessible via car ferries, or if your budget is bigger, you can even reach there on a private boat or a small plane.

Kelleys Island

This island has a low population and has a quaint small village on the south side of the island. One of the most popular attraction at Kelleys Island is the Glacial Grooves State Park, which is a wave trough carved by glaciers along the bedrock. This fantastic trough is 400 feet long, 35 feet wide and a whopping 10 feet deep, with many marine fossils embedded in its limestone rock.

Wildwater Kingdom, Northeast Ohio’s Grandest Water Park

You can easily spend an entire day in Wildwater Kingdom and this includes you, parents and guardians, because there is literally a whole buffet of things to do which ranges from kid-friendly pools, to powerful slides, to thrilling rides and endless pampering in the restaurant. If you intend to make a search on the internet, we will have you know that it is also known as Geauga Lake’s Wildwater Kingdom and you can find loads of information from the park’s official website at http://www.wildwaterfun.com.
The water theme park opened for public in 2008 and till this very day, it remains to be the most popular water theme park in its region. The fact that the park has its own standalone site makes it all the more exclusive and accessible at the same time. In 2010, they added on a large wave pool which drew a lot of attention from not just the locals, but also attracted the attention and reviews from foreign tourists and Ohio charter bus visitors who needed to look for a fun place to spend the day with their kids and family.
One of the slides is immensely popular with kids and grownups alike and it is called the Tornado Funnel. The water slide remains to be one of the tallest in Ohio too. Other slides and attraction are called Coral Cove, Liquid Lightning, Riptide Run, Splash Landing, Tidal Wave Bay and Thunder Falls.
If you have the time and would like your kids to take up swimming lessons at the theme park, sign up for their course here as they have very talented and experienced swimming teachers who are patient with kids. The swimming classes are designed for kids 3 up to 10.
The theme park is also popular with organizations, churches, schools, colleges and universities because it can serve as a venue for parties and team-building functions. Nothing bonds people like competition, we always say. These events are usually held in special function rooms and even their very own pavillion. Don’t worry about the party and leave it to the experienced organizers while you enjoy the trip and have loads of fun during the event.
And of course, one of the things that you will have to be prepared for would be....large crowds and long lines. This is, after all, one of the coolest place in the region. The park is a really great respite from the punishing weather, especially during the summer months when the kids are out of school and looking for something exciting to do. Wildwater Kingdom is located at 1100 Squires Road, Aurora, OH 44202.

The Corner Alley

Fancy a game of bowling to release the stress of work with your co-workers after a hard day’s work in the office? Or perhaps, you want to plan an outing with your friends and they want to do something different from the usual outings like movies, dinners, pubs and theatres? If that is what you and your friends are looking for, then a trip to the Corner Alley is just the thing that you can suggest to your friends. As a matter of fact, why not charter a Cleveland bus and load all your friends into it and just surprise them with the trip to the Corner Alley for a few games of bowling and drinks?

Yes, we said “bowling and drinks” because the Corner Alley at 402 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland is not your ordinary bowling entertainment destination. The Corner Alley is a rather unique kind of bowling entertainment center because it also has a full bar to serve their customers. Their outlet is also open up to guests who want to have private gatherings with their friends or companies who would like to reserve a few lanes for their own company functions or events. Private gatherings or functions are usually held at the “Millionaires Row” room and in the room, they also have a full bar with personal bartender to tend to the requests of guests. While they do not serve food like a full fledged restaurant, they do serve finger food such as chicken fingers, pizzas, potato chips with different kinds of dips. Usually, for private parties such as this, chartering a Cleveland bus would be a wise move.

The Corner Alley is considered to be a favorite spot for families, co-workers and friends to hang out on any given day. Even if you are not a big fan of bowling, you can still have fun here watching your family members or friends bowl while you sip on your drinks. You can always be part of the cheering team amongst your friends as they play. The atmosphere there is really lively and fun – definitely the place to go if you want some fun and “noise”. Noisy as it may get, it is still a good place to catch up with your friends. After all, if you have already made arrangements to come here in a Cleveland charter bus, you and your entourage would not have to worry about going home after the whole day of your bowling games and drinking at the Corner Alley.

A Walk in the Garden

When life gets a bit too stressful, taking time out from your daily or weekly routine and go on a short trip helps to clear the mind and soul. And if you are the kind who enjoys being surrounded by nature, then chartering a Cleveland charter bus and planning a trip to the Cleveland Botanical Garden is just the thing to do. Let the colors of the garden refresh your heart and mind as you walk through the garden and enjoy its breathtakingly beautiful flowers, plants, butterflies and hear the birds chirping excitedly away.

Or if you are into gardening and you enjoy checking out gardens whenever you have the time to do so, then you must really make time to visit the Cleveland Botanical Garden in a chartered bus. If you have friends who share similar gardening passion, you can invite them to join you too. The Cleveland Botanical Garden is a lovely place to go and spend an afternoon there. If you take your own sweet time and walk leisurely through every inch of the garden, don’t be surprised that you are still there after 3 hours! The size of this garden is about 10 acres with two glasshouses – the Costa Rican rainforest and the desert of Madagascar.

Inside the Costa Rican rainforest, you will also see a lot of colorful butterflies (we wouldn’t be exaggerating if we say that there could be at least hundreds of them in there!) flying and resting on flowers from time to time. This is definitely a beautiful sight and worthy of a photo shot too, so be sure to bring along your camera with you as well. Little children will be extremely thrilled at the sight of butterflies and if you have children, bringing them for this trip with you would be just marvelous. It’s a great way for them to learn about flowers, plants, butterflies and other small animals too – teaching them to appreciate Mother Nature at a young age is not a bad idea at all. In fact, inside Cleveland Botanical Garden, they have a children’s garden that every child (young or old) will enjoy – we know that there is giant tree house there for the kids to check out!

If you are feeling a little hungry halfway through your tour in the garden, you can always have a quick bite at their Garden CafĂ© before you continue the rest of your tour. Before you leave the Cleveland Botanical Garden in the chartered bus, you may also want to pop by their gift shop as they sell gardening and non gardening items – you may want to pick one or two items there to bring home with you for your own garden.

USS Cod Submarine Memorial

Currently, every day from May 1 till September 30, the USS Cod Submarine Memorial is open to the public for tours. This memorial is open only for a season, during certain months throughout the year, so if you have missed the previous tours, you may not want to miss it again this time round. Make the trip extra memorable by chartering a bus to take you there instead of you driving.
Open from 10 in the morning till 5 in the evening, this attraction that is only open for about five months in a year, is the only remaining World War II fleet submarine that is yet to be modified. There is admission fee to be paid for the tour, and the charges are not too high too. For adults, you pay $10, Seniors and Veterans pay $9, students (from kindergarten right up to 12 years old) pay $6 and children below 6 years of age with a paying adult get to go in free. Other free admissions include military in uniform, wives and family of active duty submariners. The parking spots at the Cod’s site is limited, that is why we strongly suggest that you rent a Cleveland bus to take you there - especially if you intend to bring a group of people with you on this trip.
Located on Cleveland’s lakefront at 1034 North Marginal Road, the USS Cod Submarine Memorial is not too difficult to be spotted. Your experienced and knowledgeable rented bus driver will definitely be able to send you to there for your much anticipated tour of the historical submarine. Due to the limitation of parking spots, you will be glad to have chartered a bus to the site instead of driving there yourself.
Recently, the USS Cod Submarine Memorial obtained 2 GM Cleveland Model 248 engines that were initially used aboard another World War II submarine - the USS Stingray SS-186. They are expected to use the two engines as part of the restoration of Cod’s engines. The engines weighs a whopping 43,000 pounds individually!
Visitors to the USS Cod Submarine Memorial will need to take note that because the Cod has never been altered from her wartime configuration, this means that it may not be as “user friendly” as some other tourist spots are. Hence, visitors will find themselves entering and exiting the ship by using the original hatchways and ladders - which means caution is to be exercised, especially those with young children, the elderly and the handicapped. Other than this, the tour will be one great experience - enjoy!
